Description

This large deciduous tree from south east Asia has obovate leaves, the blade is about 21 cm long and 14 cm wide with a petiole about 5 cm long. The brownish fruits are obscurely angled, 2-3 cm long and are used in various countries for medicinal purposes. The leaves are considered to be good for cattle fodder. Flowering spring. Food plant of Badamia exclamationis, Narrow-winged awl.
