How can the VoicesProject be used by communities and schools?   The Voices Project produces resources that can be used in classrooms, independent study and extra-curricular sessions. We focus on supporting topics typically taught in Geography, History and Sociology including the study of space; place; identity; migration and empire.   As the Voices Project aims to centre marginalised voices from wider society, our resources are collaboratively formed and built upon real-life oral geographies which understand the importance of decolonisation.   The project addresses the need for critical conversations about societal structures, power and representation that should be explored by learners from KS2 to KS5.   For students, our approaches aim to: - Undo the language of othering for students in the classroom  - Represent localities and local identities - Centre plurality   For teachers and the community, our approaches aim to: - Give teachers agency and support to discuss culturally sensitive topics  - Understand and challenge structural inequalities - Promote inclusivity within education   Though what we teach is important, how you teach it, is even more important. 

In a world rapidly transitioning into digital economies, the dynamics of human and social development are evolving at an unprecedented rate. The intersection of development studies and digital development casts a fascinating lens on this transformation, particularly in the context of education policy and skills development. Recent research has shown an increasing shift towards digital literacy as a core competency, akin to reading or arithmetic. However, this transition is not without its hurdles. Bridging the digital divide, especially in underserved communities, calls for innovative strategies beyond traditional pedagogical frameworks. As we explore these complex landscapes, it becomes clear that the role of sociology and human resource development is ever more critical. The question that arises is – "How can we ensure the meaningful integration of digital skills in our education systems, while ensuring inclusivity and equity?"
