Common Name or Meaning The Amani Angraecopsis [Town in Tanzania]

Found in Kenya, Tanzania Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe as a small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte in high rainfall areas, evergreen forests and occasionally on rocks at elevations of 750 to 2100 meters with a very short stem carrying 2 to 4, narrowly elliptic, blue green, almost fleshy, sometimes deciduous leaves that blooms in the fall on a pendant, several at once, 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] long, densely many [20] flowered inflorescence with fragrant flowers that smell of Lily of the Valley and are arranged in two rows.
This species is best mounted to acccomodate the pendant flowering habit, given moderate shade, high humidity and a cooler, drier winter rest.
