Common Name Wood's Stenoglottis

Flower Size 1/2" [1.2 cm]

Found in Zimbabwe and South Africa in rocky areas at elevations of sea level to 1500 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing terresstrial or lithophyte with several, cylindrical tubers giving rise to an erect, several sheathed scape and carrying 5 to 20, in a basal rossette, erect to spreading, linear, lanceolate-elliptic to ovate-lanceolate, glabrous, somewhat glaucous green, acute, non-undulate margined leaves that blooms in the spring on a 8" [to 20 cm] long, 5 to 40 flowered, racemose inflorescence.
