Euphorbia flanaganii cristata, also commonly known as ‘Green coral’, grows up to a height of 6-12 inches as it matures. When viewing an image of the plant, you will notice the strong bright green color, which is one of its most prominent features. The Green coral has the Cristata fan-like top, making it eye-catching. Growth Rate
Euphorbia flanaganii cristata has a fast growth rate.
Flowering
This plant is known for its green color flowers that bloom in the spring season.
Watering and Feeding
Green coral succulents do not seem to like a lot of water, even during their growing season, and they do not prefer much during the cooler months too. If you are growing them in containers or if your soil is poor, feed them once a month with half-strength fertilizer.
Soil
This plant requires well-draining soil. A high-quality potting soil amended with pumice or additional perlite and chicken grit is ideal.
Hardiness
This variety of Euphorbia has a frost tolerance of 0°C (32°F) and belongs to the hardiness zone of 9b to 11.
Light
Full sun to partial shade sun exposure is required for Euphorbia flanaganii cristata. They enjoy the sun, but if you keep them inside all winter, you must slowly introduce them to the sun, or they will burn.
Propagation
Vegetative propagation is the most common method of propagating Green coral succulents. This is accomplished through cuttings, in which several inches of stem with leaves are cut, allowed to heal for a while, and then produced a callus. Roots should appear after about a week.
