This exceptionally beautiful, smallish Aloe grows to about 30 cm tall and forms large clusters to about 1 m across. The broad, short, pale grayish green leaves form very compact crowns about 20 cm in diameter, armed with small white teeth along the margins. The unbranched inflorescence holds a cluster of orange flowers. Aloe brevifolia var. depressa is easy and rewarding to grow and best adapted to drier, warm temperate climates.
