Pseudogynoxys chenopodioides
(Formally known as Senecio confusus)

Pseudogynoxys chenopodioides has the common name of Mexican Flame flower and is a plant that thrives in sun on poor soils, fortunately here in the UK it is not invasive as it can too much of a good thing in warmer climates, it flowers all year so long as its warm enough, frost knocks it back in the UK and very cold weather will kill the roots, a light fluffy mulch can keep the root system alive but it is so easy to do a few stand by cuttings there is really no need to worry. The bright orange flowers show up well and although technically an evergreen, the tatty over wintered growth would need tidying off in the spring even if it survived intact
