Description

The pink flowers of the Crinum graminicola, or Graslelie, natural to the Gauteng area, puts on a spectacular show in summer, mid-October, in the Highveld. This beautiful plant takes approximately eight years to flower and doesn’t flower every year. The leaf margins are covered with brown hairs and the typical trumpet-shaped flowers are a delightful deep pink carried on short stalks. Some plants produce white flowers with a noticeable deep pink keel.
