The banana is a giant herbaceous plant of the Musaceae family that can grow up to 6-7 meters tall. Originally from Asia, it’s primarily cultivated in Central America, tropical Africa, and the Philippines. It bears fruit only in tropical climates and requires protection from the wind. Planted for alimentary use and for the commerce of its fruit.

Considered a paradisiacal muse by the ancients, the banana has always been the most naughty of inspirations.

The scientific name of this tree is Jacaranda mimosifolia. It’s known by numerous common names, including Blue Jacaranda and Nupur. For the sake of convenience, we’ll simply call it Jacaranda. It’s a tree that can grow up to 20 metres in height and is at home in many tropical regions. Native to South America, it’s now found in many parts of the world. It’s often used as an ornamental tree. Its beautiful, striking flowers produce small, reddish-brown capsule-shaped fruit. As part of an agroforestry project, Jacaranda provides shade and is often planted as a windbreak.

With its bold pink flowers, Jacaranda is a real beauty! It’s guaranteed to grab your attention!

Its leaves, either fresh or dried-out, are used as food for livestock.

It improves the quality of the soil thanks to the nitrogen fixation process or it reduces soil erosion, thanks to its extended root system.

The Leucaena is a tree that grows 3 to 20 meters tall with a trunk that varies between 20 to 50 centimeters in width. It tolerates cold but not icy climates and is often cultivated in deforested zones thanks to its growth capacity. It's also planted to control soil erosion, stabilize nitrogen, fertilize, provide shade, and as a wind blocking barrier for fruit cultivation.
