  • A vigorous, dome-shaped, weeping, deciduous tree, with slender arching branches terminating in golden-yellow shoots creating a cascade of chartreuse colour at eye level once mature. Young yellow-green, lanceolate leaves mature to a glossy green and catkins, appear with the leaves in spring. A wide-spreading tree that grows best in full sun where a moist soil is available, and ideal along riverbanks and the margins of large ponds.

  • Garden care: If required, pruning should be done in winter. Remove any broken, diseased or crossing branches and shorten any over-long shoots. When planting incorporate lots of well-rotted compost in the planting hole.
