Description

A plant that prefers a rocky habitat, on walls, in gardens or in cultivated fields. The stem is erect, often branched.

Flowers

The pink to purple flowers are on a short stalk with 2 lips and either a yellow or a white palate (bulge) in the middle. At the base of the flower is a pouch. In order to reach the nectar bees often pierce a hole at the base of the flower. The heavier bumble bees force open the lips to reach the nectar.

Leaves

Elliptic oval leaf, Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Oval to long, wider in the middle, pointed, visible midrib, 70 mm long and 25 mm wide.

Fruits Seeds

Capsule: to 14 mm long.
