Arisaema acuminatum is found in peninsular Florida from Collier to Duval plus Leon County.
Each of the one or two stalked leaves is divided into 3 ovate leaflets. Small sessile flowers are borne on a fleshy stalk (spadix) inside the white-striped green spathe that arches over the spadix. JACK-IN-THE-PULPIT produces clusters of small berries that are red when mature.
A number of Arisaema species have been considered part of a Arisaema triphyllum complex. Recently the Florida occurrences of that complex have been determined to be A. acuminatum.
