Bristly Smithia is a bristly erect annual herb. It grows up to 1-1.5 m high. Flowers form a large panicle. Flowers are about 1.5-2 cm in size and form a relatively large panicle, easily identified with bright yellow, with two red spots near the base. Flowering season is October.
