Female Two-spined spider (Poecilopachys bispinosa) on a shrub in New South Wales, Australia. The females of these solitary spiders are one of very few spider species that can change their abdominal colours. The spines, which are soft to touch, vary from cream to yellow. Female bodies are up to 7 mm long; males only 2.5 mm. Harmless to humans, they are found in the coastal regions of New South Wales and southern Queensland, Australia.
